Ft.Hood, Texas #149 Hi, my name is Carla Cayo. My husband, myself, and three children live in Fort Hood Texas. My husband just went back into the Army after an 8 year leave. I am writing this e-mail to ask for anyone's help with all of our bills that have accumulated over the last 8 months. Prior to my husbands enlistment I was the sole financial provider for our family because he was unable to find a job. It was a very hard struggle. There were times that I thought I couldn't take it anymore. Since he has been in, the military has NEVER gooten his pay right. One month they only paid him $ 462.00. For a family of 5. How can anyone live on that! However, we did it though. Because of all these situations, I had to resort to using the credit cards, which are now maxed out. I will gladly give anyone who can help me and my family a list of these bills. I am too embarrassed to actually post it on this site. I am not use to asking people for help. I am usually the one who helps others. I was always raised like that and I try to raise my children like that. once in a while we get into a pinch though, where we can't help but put our pride aside and say HELP. My car note which is $224.00 a month is 2 months behind and credit cards are even more behind. We just can't make it right now. My hubby is due to deploy to Iraq in Sept. As horrible as it may sound, when he does get deployed we will be getting more money. It's sad to think that he has to put his life on the line so that our kids have food, clothes, and the bills are paid. We ALL hope he comes back safe and sound. Our son just had his 2nd b-day and we couldn't even buy him a cake. I thank God that he is too little to understand, however our daughters are 9 and 12. There b-days are back to back in Aug and Sept. They may be a different story, but they do know we are having financial trouble. I have looked for work, but nothing has panned out yet. I am not asking for anyone to support us, but maybe to help in a little way. Whatever you can do or give will help greatly. When my hubby was unemployed ( for over 1 year), our bills just pilled up and up. I know that God never puts too much on our plates that he doesn't think we can't handle, but sometimes I feel that the plate is too small. There comes a point in ones life, that it just gets too hard to do alone. I am trying real hard to be a good Army wife, but I need help. Thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to read my story. I know there are many more out there like mine. If anyone wants to contact me its appreciated. Thank you to all our soldiers for their dedication and hard work, Carla Cayo
