#310 9/5/2008 Killen, TX Hi, my name is Beckie, we are living in Killeen Texas my husband is stationed at Ft. hood. I am writing this in hopes of finding some assistance with our utilities. My husband is currently deployed and on top of the stress that this causes our family we have now found our selves unable to meet all of our financial obligations. This started around the end of the year last year and we foolishly took out a couple loans to try and "catch up". That just put us with two more monthly payments to make. We made arrangements with our utility providers, paying more to one then less to the other just trying to stay afloat and now it seems we are out of options. Our electric bill is four hundred dollars and is due by the 26th of this month and we don't have it. We have other utilities that if we don't pay will result in termination and then we will have nothing. My husband is an E3 and our pay has increased but due to being so far behind and our recent move we just are unable to make a full payment. And every month we get more and more behind. This is our last resort, we have been all over trying to get some assistance, we already have an AER loan, in addition to a few more. Our sons birthday is this month and then its almost Christmas. I am so afraid that this will never end, I am trying so hard to make things work out but I feel so exhausted every day. I have cut back on groceries and been going to a food pantry, I don't drive any more than i have to, I cut back on things like cleaning supplies and only buy the bare necessities. My oldest son hasn't the slightest understanding why we cant go catch a movie together anymore. Or why we haven't sent his daddy a box of goodies. If there is anyone who can help please do. We are not looking for a handout, we have always tried to make it on our own. It has taken me several days to just think of what to say, all I have been able to come up with is this, please help us if you can.
