#344 11/5/2008 Ft. Bragg, NC My name is Melissa and my husband Curtis is in the Army stationed in Fort Bragg, NC. He was sent home from his 3rd deployment to Iraq because our 2-year-old daughter is disabled and in very poor health, and his presence is needed to help care for her extensive medical needs. She has cerebral palsy, a language processing disorder that prevents her from speaking, sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, plagiocephaly, and she cannot eat by mouth and must be fed through a feeding tube in her stomach. These conditions have left her malnourished and in need of extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy several days each week. We spent the last of our savings on a vehicle to get him to and from work, and to get our daughter to her medical appointments each week. Last week, the engine quit running and we are told it needs replacement. We are desperately in need of an engine for this 2000 Blazer so he can not only make it to and from work, but also take our daughter to her medical appointments. We would appreciate any help we can receive. If an engine is not feasible, a used car would be appreciated just as much! We believe that the Lord will provide for our family, and we are hoping He will use this organization and those of you out there reading this to do that. Thank you very much for considering our family, and God bless you!
