The Park mentioned above is across Bradley Place, corner to Publix. The Sunset ave. has one side of the street parking on a regular basis without restrictions. In effect, we have been going there for years. For the first time we parked on the other side and VOILA we were issued a citation. It seems that the other side has three signs, No parking 11Pm, to 6am, Parking allowed 8am to 10pm. AND the last one is the kicker which most people do not notice. Parking by permit decal only.
This little item can cost you $20,00 for parking there to walk your dog. $20.00 Payable within 3 days . But the Town of Palm Beach will charge you an extra $10.00 if not paid within 3 days, and an additional $20.00 after 60 days and yet an additional $25.00 after 90.days. So if you take 90 days to pay, it can cost you a total of $75.00. It is a pity, they are not a bit more consistent. Of course, having three signs on top of one another does throw some people off. They usually check to see if they can park period. Our mistake was not looking all the way down. However, it does not make us feel any better making such a mistake after living in the area over 40 years.
However, take heed when parking ANYWHERE in Palm Beach! Check signs carefully!
