WebCam32 Set Up

Setting up the cam is really not difficult but some computer knowledge is helpful. You need first to install your camera, quickcam or vicam etc per the manufacturers instructions, if it becomes too difficult I will help you or one of our other participants will be pleased to assist you in getting set up!

  1. Download the unregistered version of WebCam32 by clicking here and pay the $25 for the registered version if you can afford it at the time. The unregistered version has a timer that requires you to restart the software every hour.

  2. Run the webcam32.exe to instal the software, there is a users guide here: User's Guide on the same page you download the software from

  3. Once installed you can select your (installed) camera driver from the "file" menu and assuming your cam is turned on you will see an image!

  4. You need to set the format of your image to 320x240 pixels, this is done from the "settings", "format" menu and the specific option will depend on your camera.

FTP Set Up

FTP or File Transfer Protocol, is simply a way of getting an image from your computer to the server every 15 seconds - we use FTP for the non-member cams and the Medium Member cams.
