The News
Dear Potential Associate, Subscriber, Investor, Sponsor, Grantor;
Today is the start of a new beginning for you and
all of us. Many of you have had exceptional lives, you
have been part of a corporate world, you have worked
hard , received many accolades and been told you have
done exceptional work.
However, like many of us in today's environment you
have found yourself downsized,unemployed and experiencing
great difficulty in securing new employment. Why,because
most firms are seeking new less experienced employees
they can pay lower wages to while centralizing operations
to cut costs using more new technology to minimize overall
operational costs.
The tide however is turning,many firms now are going
out and seeking proven experience,mature employees
because the lack of experience,knowledge and savvy
has hurt their bottom line with the less qualified employees.
Duhh, is that a surprise?
It must be noted that in spite of all the good news of low
unemployment, the truth is there are over 2,000,000,000
unemployed americans that used to hold managerial,Management
and Executive positions. They are literally being discriminated
because of age which is not stated but a fact, totally
illegal by US Law. The truth is than since the 80's many
positions have been eliminated and continue to be. These
unemployed americans between 44 and 55, have not shown up
on the rolls because they have been doing menial work, and
trying to cope, but their alternatives are minimal. Retire,
work till they die, or accept very low wages just to survive!
If its not happened to you, look around!
In truth, not one of us has not experienced the pang of
being told one is overqualified or indirectly that one is
too old. There are many subtle ways we have been told over
and over again the job which we know we can do easily is
not for us. Meanwhile, we experience many uncertainties,
loss of self esteem,financial problems, ruined credit and
demeaning suggestions such as "just go out and get a job".
Like one is not endeavoring to do just that!
We have all gone through the headhunters waltz, the
"corporate outplacement" services that tear one down,
spend countless hours redefining our purpose, goals
while charging the corporation, us or other firms for
their "services". In many cases, not only are they a
waste of time and money but are run by arrogant, self
centered individuals that live by human relational
psychological tests to pigeon hole one into a general
niche and their perception of what they believe is
your fate when one is unique onto oneself. In many cases,
they have never been able to cut it in the real world
themselves but are passing judgment on you,charging
you an arm and a leg for a program to sell you (Resumes,
interview skills, et al) yet they have no jobs to offer
in the first place!
But enough! the purpose of our diatribe is to give you
ideas and show you there are many others on the same.
course. But rest assured here you will find support,
a network of friends willing to assist one another and
ideas to kick around for our mutual benefit. So let's
get started and see if some of these ideas appeal to
