Payment instructions are included with mailed invoices. Payment methods include wire transfer,bank draft, cashier's order, cash or Divisible,irrevocable L/C as specified. 2. How much do I pay? Buyers pay the purchase price (hammer price plus buyer's premium) and any sales, use or value added taxes (VAT) that may be due. A complete description to be included in the presentation 3. What taxes do I have to pay? For auctions outside of the United States, value added taxes (VAT) may be due on the buyer's premium and/or the hammer price of purchase. For autioned items in the United States, buyers, unless exempted by Law, pay any applicable state or local sales or use taxes if they take possession of their property in the following states: California, Connecticut,Florida,Illinois,Massachusetts,New Jersey, New York, Pennsylbania,Rhode Island, Texas, or Washington D.C. 4. Buyer's Premium? The buyer's premium is a percentage of the final bid price of a lot that the buyer pays to Roger Mealey (Sarte Collection) in addition to the final bid price. The premium varies with sale location and category. With the exception of wine and cigar auctions, most sales have a buyer's premium of 17.5% up to and including a specified amount for each lot, plus 10% for any remainder above that amount. 5. What is the buyer's premium that I will be charged for each lot? The premiums for most sale categories are listed by sale location below. When can I collect property I have purchased? Collection information for your purchase is available at time of successful bid. It is also included in your mailed invoice. Provided your payment has cleared, many items canb be collected the day of purchase. Some property may have to be moved or shipped from another location or country. 2. What if I can't collect purchgased property soon after purchase? Administration, handling and insurance charges will be due where collection is delayed beyond the period noted in sale offer or mailed invoice. 3. Who arranges shipping? Buyers arrange shipping and may use their own carriers or request assistance from Sellers representative. We will find facilities worldwide to help with packing and shipping of purchased property. 4. Are there restrictions in shipping to or from other countries? Certain property sold may be subject to laws governing export from the country where it was purchased and import into another country. It is the buyer's resp[onsibility to be aware of these restrictions and obtain any relevant licenses. For details, please contact your customs agent, an international shipper or sellers sale location. 5. Will shipping charges be included in the purchase price? No, shipping is a separate charge. We encourage prospective buyers to request shipping estimates from their own carriers or from the shipping department of seller in advance of the sale. LEARNING MORE ABOUT OFFERED PROPERTY IN AN AUCTION 1. What is the best way to learn about a lot that interests me? Property in our offered auctions is sold "as is," and examining property in person is the best way to learn about it if in country. Pre-auction viewings, which are free and open to the public, usually begin several days prior to the auction and provide an opportunity to personally inspect the property. Our specialists are available to discuss the property with you then or by appointment. You can also request a condition report (see next question). Note we demand authentification certification of property BEFORE we will include in our system. 2. What if I cannot personally inspect a lot? You may choose to contact us for information and to request a condition report . Condition reports are provided as a service to interested clients, with information furnished in accordance with the terms agreed with sellers that provide authenticity documentation. This site does not imply warranty or responsibility for transactions between buyer and the represented seller. It is up to the buyer to verify, confirm and accept the representation made by seller.
