An issue for companies all over the world is the quality of telecommunications available to conduct business in a timely and cost-efficient manner. This concern is exacerbated by the excessive prices charged by national telephone monopolies on international calls originating within their borders.

Description

By using our international calling service, non-U.S. located customers can make telephone calls using the U.S. telephone network.

Subscribers to the service receive a U.S. telephone number which they call whenever they want to make an international call to any country. They hang up after the first ring and within 60 seconds their phone rings. When they pick up the phone, they have an open U.S. telephone line which they can use to make calls. They do not get charged for the first (activation) call either by us or by their local telephone company because the call is not answered till they hang up.

Benefit to Subscribers

The typical customer realizes several benefits. Among these are:

1. He gains savings on his telephone bills.

2. He is able to utilize the U.S. telephone network. A big advantage is that he will have a U.S. dial-tone rather than the local dial-tone.

3. An immediately realized benefit of using a U.S. dail-tione is improved voice, fax, data and video communications to most countries.

Equipment Required

Customers require a telephone with a dual touch-tone and pulse capability. Most telephones in the Third World have this capability.

Customers do not need to make any other arrangements. For example, they do not need special lines or additional lines. The international calling service can be electronically placed over what they currently have.

Customers require a telephone with a dual tone touch-tone and pulse capability. A touch-tone (digital) line is not essential but would be convenient.

If they have a touch-tone (digital) line, they use the touch-tone setting on their telephone to make both the activation (first) call and the second call.

If only a pulse line is available, they need to use the pulse setting to make the activation call and then switch the telephone to the touch-tone setting in order to make the second call.

Most telephones worldwide have both touch-tone and pulse capability. A general rule is that if your phone has keys or buttons to push then it has dual touch tone and pulse capability.

Procedure

A. Enrolling Customers

Customers complete and return a standard enrollment form along with the deposit. The amount of the deposit is typically equivalent to one month's bill.

B. Payment Procedures

We only accept payment by American Express Cards, Visa, Mastercard or by Bank to Bank Wire Transfer. The reason is that clearing a check through an internationally located bank (even if it is a branch of a major international bank like Citibank) takes a long time (several weeks). Please note that there is a 4.5% surcharge on transactions using credit cards. This surcharge will be paid as fees to the credit card companies. If the customer chooses send the deposit through a Bank to Bank Wire transfer, our representative will give them the details of our bank information needed to execute the transaction.

C. Using the Private U.S. Number.

Once the customer has returned the completed the form and sent the deposit, we will issue him a private U.S. number. There is a $5 per month charge for this number. Each additional number is $3 per month. He will dial this number as if he was making a regular international call to the U.S. from his country.

He will not be charged for this initial (activation) call either by us or by the local telephone company. the reason being that the call will not be answered until he hangs up.

Once activated by his call, a pre-arranged telephone on his premises will ring within 60 seconds. A particular pre-selected telephone is used for security reasons. If he has a switchboard, he may choose to use a passcode for additional security reasons.

Once he gets called back and receives an open U.S. line, he then dials the number that he wants to contact. The customer dials this number as if he was in the U.S. This means that if he is trying to reach someone in the U.S. he just dials the area code and phone number (only ten digits). For all other non-U.S. countries (including the local country) the customer needs to start the dialed number with the digits 011 and then the country code and then the telephone number. For example, to call a number in the UK, he would dial 011 44 and then the number he wants to call. in the U.S., dialing 011 gets him an international line and 44 is the country code for the UK.

D. Ongoing Service

Once a customer is enrolled, his fund balance will be monitored and requests for payment will be made when his balance is approximately half the initial deposit.

At the end of each month, at the customer's request, a statement will be sent to each customer. This statement will be include a listing of all his calls originating from all telephone numbers used by the customer. There is a $10 charge for each monthly statement which is intended to cover postage and handling.

On the processing of the bill, all credit card accounts are charged as invoiced and all wire transfer accounts need to be paid in full within 10 (ten) days of the invoice date in order to avoid late payment charges.
